The letter, in part states

The Board of Directors of the Blue Ridge Mountain Volunteer Fire Company was shocked to learn of the article regarding their station that appeared in the Spirit of Jefferson. Fred Collins did not have the authority or approval of the board to make the statements he made at the meeting of the county commission...

But the BoD seems to indicate that Fred is not worth listening to unless they craft/bless all the stmts for him?

Listening to the recording will let you be the judge on whether the reporter caught the key points. For me some short term targets NOT covered in the article are:

Urgent need for immediate action to restore mutual aid with Loudoun County Fire (radio frequency and compatibility issues);
JSEC to immediately modify policy to allow paid EMS staff to support fire operations, operate equipment if qualified, etc.

Then there are the longer term financial issues.

What ever happened to those "eggs" anyhow? I remember them from when I was a kid... my Mom would bring them home and I would play with the "eggs" (not the hosiery, of course... but I DID enjoy playing in her high heeled shoes ).

OK if we are so protected by BRMVFC why couldnt they get an Ambulance out for the car wreck on mission rd today at GATE 1 around 7pm. Ok, I read the letter to the editor. So, basically they are saying that the President can't talk, but the treasurer can? Also, seems to me that many of the problems started when Earl Cogle came into play.
