    Default freezing temps affect brakes?

Does anyone know if these freezing temps should affect the car brakes? My brake light stayed on this morning until it was good and warmed up (probably 10 miles or so). They seemed to be working alright but strange that the light went on. It has stayed off since. A co-worker told me her brakes didn't work at all for her this morning until the car warmed up. Any experience or knowledge??

Faithwalk, that's not unusual when it's this cold. I grew up in Watertown NY, and brakes can freeze if there is any moisture on them. When it gets this cold do not set your emergency brake. The pads/discs can freeze in place.

Thanks Jojack. i figured that was it. I sure tested the brakes though before descending down the mountain!
