This information has gotten buried in other threads so I am posting a new thread on it. WVDA has competed the 2007 gypsy moth egg mass surveys in Shannondale, River View Park and John Brown Farm. In 2008, 363 new acres will need to be treated and 32 acres will need to be retreated. The estimated cost for landowner is $6,955. At this point, we will not get the 50% cost share from the US Forest Service, and it does not appear that the National Park Service has funding to spray the Appalachian Trail.
