    Default Laptop Question

The outlet where my laptop plugs into the wall is across the room from my "spot" on the couch. We're in the process of re-arranging the room so I'll be closer to an outlet. Despite the fact that the cord is under the edge of the couch, my children have repeatedly run past and pulled the cord from the back of the laptop. The connection of the cord to the laptop is now a lot more loose than it was when I bought the laptop. Any way of tightening it back up? I just got the laptop in February and would like it to last awhile.
    Thanks!

First, minimize future damage. Go to Walmart and buy a cheap extension cord(s), and tie it around a chair leg or something on your side of the room. Lots cheaper to replace if needed.

Not sure exactly what's loose, or how it's constructed (they're all different). Try wrapping some tape around it? If you're not actually losing power I wouldn't worry about it. If so, try anchoring it with a strip of duck tape across the bottom, taking care not to cover a vent hole.
