I'm sorry to say I only now got around to hiking the Ridge Trail this year. The Ridge Trail is uphill and to the left of our FOSS spot #4 (map link here). Actually, we have a better map somewhere, but I can't find it.
The trail needs work, as it looks like it hasn't been cleared for several years. I had hand pruners with me, but some more equipment (gloves, hedge trimmers, loppers, tree saw) would have been useful in spots.
I suppose if we're going to clear it we also need to figure out how far to clear. I went out about 30 minutes and came across nothing interesting at all, and no landmarks.
I bet the trail to the right (the name escapes me now) could use clearing. And all the trails could use herbicide to soak the ubiquitous multiflora rose thorns.
Now... where the heck is that DNR map...
