Mike Eckert

I've just this date(8/23/2007)that Mike passed away. He was found in his backyard this morning. Mike was Reba and Karl Eckert's eldest son who visited the 'dale many times over the years. I just saw him a few weeks ago while he was in the area celebrating his Mom's 90th. He, his friend Maggie, brother Mark and wife(forgive me about the name), Tony Barther(whose folks were avid club members) and myself went to lunch and then stopped at the old cabin, now well on its way to yuppification.

It was shock to say the least when Maggie emailed me. A memorial service has not been scheduled yet and Mike does want his ashes spread over Shannondale as many have before him. When I find out more, I'll publish on our site.
