Bud Johnson's Cabin 1956 & 2004

On the left, no cabin at all- on the right a child care center, Grammy's Place. The original cabin, a model home was approximately 20x40 feet, greater than the minimum 600 square foot minimum established in the covenants. It disappeared into the maw of the existing building as Mr. Johnson, the son of the original developer, moved in full-time. It was then expanded over the years, being owned by Tom and Nancy McDermott prior to its present use. There may have been as many as 10 cars a day pass by this driveway, way back when, which remains in its general location, directly across from Gate2. Clubhouse Drive included a ford thru which vehicles would drive to arrive at the Clubhouse's future site. The small orange sign read "office" directing prospective buyers to the old log cabin we called the Administration Building. It WAS used as a hideout by J.S.Mosby's raiders during the War Between the States. |
