As is our custom we've used the "Way Back Machine" to travel a little ahead in our past to 1984( The way back machine was borrowed from Mr. Peabody and his sidekick Sherman) to a fashion show sponsored by the Women's Club for the benefit of the Old Opera House(OOH). Our understanding is that at this time the club was helping the OOH model prospective theatrical outfits from clothing donated to the theatre's "not new" outlet, the Op Shop(which, incidentally is still in operation on N. Charles Street In Charles Town. The shop accepts clothing and other items for resale to raise money for its stage productions). The editors would appreciate any additional info you guys may have concerning this event, such as more about the lady above who was emcee for the show, Sally Van Metre.
