The Shannon's cabins have been extensively remodeled over the years and bear no resemblance at all to the original version. Concrete grout pumped into the bedrock below the dam to stabilize its base appeared in the Shannon's water well. Even in these parts, that is REALLY hard water. The well was ultimately moved across the road to another parcel of property.
