Shirley Rose Swab stands on the East side abutment of the Old Dailey Bridge across the Shenandoah on Rt 9. Hurricane Agnes had just passed thru dumping 12 inches of rain on the area. If we aren't mistaken the river crested about 6 inches below the deck with an assortment of sheds, mobile homes, propane tanks etc wedged on the upriver side.
