Nope, its a water well drilling rig perched precariously in the rear of the Saxon's cabin. A family dog appears unconcerned about the heavy equipment looming above it. We don't know if the well was being redrilled or added to replace a cistern, a common source of water for "part-timers" in the early days. We will certainly give the driller the Evil Knievil Award of Excellence for positioning a 60 ton piece of equipment in such a manner.
