...It's worth seeing again, the Women's Club project to bring a tad of joy during the holiday season to residents of the Locust Grove Rest Home in Harpers Ferry/Bolivar. The facility is now closed to the best of our knowledge but was operated by the Rev. Franklin Myers and his wife. Club members solicited practical gifts(boyoboy we hated practical gifts when we were sprouts) that were much appreciated by the home's residents. The club members made quite a show of dressing up in holiday finery while distributing gifts and goodies.
