We can't recall meeting Shirley. We knew the Duke's, Charlie and Bunch but we're sure Shirley isn't related. There were some Dukes situated on Upper Clubhouse Drive just South of the memorial to Charlie Johnson by the Lake. Perhaps that is she. Let us know and tell Shirley to get in touch. We also note the article written by none other than Olga Walters who brightened so many of our days with her column in the Spirit of Jefferson's Farmers' Advocate titled appropriately "Mountain Chatter". Our community needs a correspondent in the local papers to relate interesting occurrences in our midst to the rest of the County!
