For those who may have forgotten or didn't know, the old log cabin, next to what is now Granny's Place day care center, served as the offices of Shannondale Inc. this was the development company that sold property and constructed and maintained the physical improvements in the development. We fondly recall visiting the building to meet visitors, to chat with the sales force, to draw water from the pump house in front and to look thru the stereopticon that Mr. Johnson had on a table in the office.Local history has it that Mosby's raiders used the building as a hideout during the Civil War and there is some evidence to confirm that the Gray Ghost did indeed utilize the building!!
