In an effort to save money in what was ultimately a losing proposition, the member/owners of Shannondale Club Ltd. did most, of the work at the Club on a strictly volunteer basis. Swimming pools have a definition similar to that of a boat's:"Boat - A hole in the surface of the water, into which money is thrown"- We'll paraphrase and say:"Swimming pool, a hole in the ground into which one puts water and money". The Pool operation was always a money loser at the club and a declining membership doomed its operation eventually. The guys above will definitely be inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame(btw, anyone want to take on that project- a virtual plaque with the names of inductees)?
