A note of explanation: the editors have recently become the temporary custodians of  the Shannondale Garden Club scrapbooks and are gleaning photos for inclusion on the website. We aren't intimately familiar with the goings on of the club and of the identity of all its participants- Consequently, we humbly ask the viewers' assistance thru the contact page for errors or omissions. Despite the name, the club was not limited exclusively to Shannondalians. The Blazeks were attending a picnic held at Sam and Ruth Simmons waterfront property in the Riverside subdivision South of the 'dale. Another note: some of the photos had to be scanned still attached to the album pages and while it's not clear in all cases, we do know that two professional photographers often recorded club functions- They were Loren Dickey and Payne Slinkman, both Shannondale alumni.
