John and Dora Hospan's cabin was located on Johnnycake Lane South of Shannondale Road near the Saxons and Briscoes. For you youngsters, the deck craze hadn't yet come on the scene. A wooden deck before the advent of treated lumber was a pain in the a** to maintain, hence the popularity of the screened porch.
