Lyle was the son of Charles and Joyce Lilly who lived on Bunny Court across from Butch Nicholson. Lyle was blessed with a wonderful sense of  humor, an attribute which was instrumental in his success as an educator. He spent quite a few years as a teacher at Blue Ridge Elementary School and received more than a few awards for his efforts there. Lyle died too young in the early 1990's.
