The Gillwalds like many other Shannondalians, spent a lot of time camping along the Shenandoah River in the early years of the Club. In fact, many folks remained campers as others moved on to build more permanent housing. Dottie Gillwald remembers that they would set up camp at the beginning of the season and leave their gear all Summer- nothing was ever missing from weekend to weekend. We've said before that the campers were among the most loyal of Club supporters. If you guys have any pix of the campgrounds and that wonderful "Liar's Club" please get in touch!!!
