Charles Town High School's Class of 1940 held its first reunion 50 years after graduation . The belated get-together was held at the Shannondale Club with Club member and class graduate Charlie Peer as host. The high school is now the site of the Wright Denny Elementary School on West Congress Street In Charles Town. Over the years Shannondale has been the venue for many reunions, weddings, civic meetings and their ilk, but none so one-of -a -kind as the first reunion after 50 years!!!
