The Sandwich Isles were last ruled by  Matriarchal Royalty and in the year 1983 so was our Shannondale's Luau fete. The Queen's consort( Lucky guy!) in his surfer jammies is Guy Yolton surrounded on either side by island lovelies( Is that why Hawaii was called the Sandwich Islands?) from left to right: Barbara Kriemelmeyer, Alowyn Bienert, her Majesty Lea Gambino, Ethel Tamker and Mary Schroder. We really like those jammies and we long for the North Shore and Waimea Bay- Hang ten, Guy!!!
